Don’t Rat on Businesses

Dear Editor:

This letter is in reference to the Post article titled “Hundreds of Pandemic Rule Violation Complaints Filed with the Health District” (Jan. 29).

I find it sad that as a result of this pandemic, we have become a nation that feels it necessary to report our friends and neighbors for their actions. In these difficult times acting as an anonymous “watchdog” is not needed so much as support for businesses which put themselves at risk for all of us everyday. Business owners are doing the best they can and if one does not feel comfortable in the establishment one has the right to leave.

I understand the need to protect one another but let’s recognize the challenges we are all facing and help each other in a more civil manner.
