Mrs. Betty Jean Collins Lang, 88, of Temperanceville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021. She was born May 25, 1932, in Wattsville, to John and Arella Collins.  On April 3, 1949, she married Robert “Bobby” Cale Lang Sr., who preceded her in death on April 14, 2015.

Betty worked various jobs which included Birdseye, Holly Farms, US 13 Restaurant, JJ Newberrys, Clam Factory, JP’s, and babysitting for various families.  No job was more gratifying to her than that of mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She soothed many scraped knees in her time.

Betty loved sewing, quilting, cooking, camping, fishing, gardening, animals (especially bird and squirrel watching), but most of all she loved her family and treasured the moments she got to spend with them.

Betty is survived by her children, Bobby Lang Jr. (Corinne), Donna Goleman (Walt), Steve Lang (Kim), and Lisa Ward (Jeff); 14 grandkids; 26 great-grandkids; five great-great-grandkids; her sisters, Beverly Meyer, Barbara Squibb, and Darlene Cherrix; and her many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Lang Sr.; son, David Lang; and siblings, Johnny Collins, Peggy Troutman, Almeda Fleetwood, Catherine Williams, Wade Collins, and Dale Collins; and great-grandson, Dylan Michael Justice.

Join the family Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, at Fox Funeral Home, Temperanceville, for a funeral service, at 2 p.m. There will be a visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be at John W. Taylor Cemetery, Temperanceville, with the Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
