Mr. Vincent Calvin Wood, 83, husband of Sara Lewis Wood and a resident of Cheriton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at his residence in Cheriton. He was the son of the late Vincent Francis Wood and the late Elizabeth Doughty Wood. He was a retired lawn care contractor and a member of Cheriton Baptist Church in Cheriton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Calvin Keenan Wood, of Cheriton, and Brian Wood, of Florida; five grandsons; one daughter-in-law, Sherri; longterm friend and caregiver, Cindy; one godson, Travis; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Timothy Wood.
A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, at 2 p.m., at Belle Haven Cemetery in Belle Haven, with the Rev. Charles E. Peterson officiating.
