Mr. Russell Dennis, 81, of Temperanceville, departed life Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, in Salisbury, Md.
Born in Makemie Park, Va., Russell was the son of the late John and Flossie Watson Dennis.
He was affectionately known as “Bill” by his family and friends. Russell served in the U.S. Army and after his discharge, he worked a number of years for different employers including Perdue, Vernon Drewer Seafood, and Campbell Soup.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 2, 2020, at the Chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with the Rev. Brenda Wise officiating. Interment was in the Groton Community Cemetery, Messongo.
Bill leaves to cherish his loving memories: four children, Andora Parker, Jessica Dennis, Antonio Dennis, and Danny Hinmon; bonus daughters, Keisha Thornton and April Dennis; numerous grandchildren; a brother, Gralyn Hinmon; three sisters, Thelma Holden, Diane Holden, and Alma Brim; aunt, LaRue Holden; a special friend, Justine Crosby; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
