Mr. Thomas Coe Pruitt Jr., 66, a resident of Melfa, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at his residence. A native of Wachapreague, he was the son of the late Thomas C. Pruitt and the late LaBelle Sturgis Pruitt Tyndall. Tommy was a retired master electrician, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and in his younger years worked on Ray Parker’s party boat.
Tommy is survived by his companion of 16 years, Brenda Lee Johnson; two daughters, Adrianna Pruitt, of Melfa, and Anndrea Pruitt Rodriguez, of Melfa; one son, Andrew Pruitt, of Bayview; one brother, Keith Pruitt, of Exmore; and his grandson, Carter Rodriguez.
A celebration of life service will be conducted Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020, at 2 p.m., at Pungoteague Community Church, with the Rev. Bobby Carroll Huether officiating.
