Mrs. Beatrice T. Ball, 97, of Parksley, wife of the late Willard Ball, passed away Dec. 1, 2020, at Shore Health and Rehab Center in Parksley.

Born Sept. 28, 1923, in Marsh Market, Va., she was the daughter of the late Ernest “Dink” Taylor and Mamie Marshall Taylor. She graduated from Temperanceville High School. Within a short time after graduation, she was married to Willard Ball. After they were married, they moved to Newport News, where she lived until 2016.

She was a member of Halls Chapel Church in her earlier days and then became a member of West Hampton Baptist Church in Hampton, where she attended regularly until her eyesight began to fail and she was unable to drive.

She is survived by her only brother, Ernest F. Taylor (Anna Ruth); a nephew, Rocky R. Taylor (Brenda); three nieces, Shannon Taylor (Suzanne), April Parish (Kevin), and Karen Taylor (Tim); three great-nieces and one great-nephew.

Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Jay Taylor.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, at 2 p.m., from the graveside of the Groton’s Cemetery in Hallwood.

Arrangements are by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley.
