By Stefanie Jackson – Another Occohannock Elementary School student has tested positive for COVID-19, Principal Frank Palmieri announced in a letter sent home to parents Tuesday, Nov. 24.

The school was notified of the COVID-19 case late Monday, Nov. 23. The student has not attended school since Thursday, Nov. 19.

All parents of children who are in the same class as the COVID-19-positive student have been notified, and their classroom will be closed until Dec. 7.

A case of COVID-19 at Occohannock Elementary was reported in October, and that student’s classroom was closed for two weeks, but no resulting spread of COVID-19 was reported.
