Ms. Jacqueline “Jackie” Kirchner Carpenter passed away suddenly at age 52, on Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, at her home in Belle Haven. Born on the Eastern Shore on Nov. 16, 1967, Jackie’s childhood was in Exmore, then in Cheriton, and most recently she lived in Belle Haven. She was employed at Atlantic Union Bank in Exmore where she served as an assistant vice president and financial services advisor.

Jackie is predeceased by her parents, Margaret Melson Walsh Kirchner and John P. Kirchner; her brother, Terry Walsh, of Panama City, Fla.; and her grandparents, Hilton “Hap” Melson and Pearl Melson, of Chesconessex. She is survived by her brother, Robert Kirchner, (USAF retired) and his wife, Carolyn, of Pipe Creek, Texas; sisters, Cindy Walsh, of LaCrosse, Minn., and Sheila Walsh Kaufman and her husband, Jim, of Anacortes, Wash.
Jackie loved her many pets and thought of them as her children, so any memorials could be made in her honor to the ASPCA.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date when travel and gatherings can be done safely.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Jackie’s good friends, Ted Sturgis and Natalie McAllen, for their gracious help to them, as they are all grieving from afar. They loved and cherished Jackie so very much.
