Mr. Herbert Cleveland Byrd, 65, a resident of Cheriton, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock. A native of Crisfield, Md., he was the son of the late Gene Byrd and the late Lola Mae Taylor Byrd Bull. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired waterman.
He is survived by two sisters, Nancy Welch McCready and her husband, Jacky, of Marion, Md., and Patty Green of Crisfield.
A graveside service was conducted Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Capeville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Charles Peterson officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
