Mrs. Rose Marie Taylor, 75, of Temperanceville, wife of the late Richard Lee Taylor, passed away May 22, 2020, at her residence, with her family by her side.

Born April 12, 1945, in Saxis, she was the daughter of the late Lynwood Asa Collins and the late Edith Mae Martin Collins. She worked at the R&G Shirt factory and was a retired security officer for Tyson Foods. She loved reading, playing video games on her computer, spending time in her office, and spending time with her family and great-grandkids.

Rose is survived by a daughter, Tina Diaz, of Temperanceville; two sons, Richard Todd Taylor and wife, Vicky Ward Taylor, of Guilford, and Jeffery Alan Taylor, of Temperanceville; sisters, Pat Ball, of Mears, Rachel McCleary, of Saxis, and Phyllis Williams, of Saxis; grandchildren, Kristin Velbis, Brandy Bailey, Ana Diaz, and Miranda Hillman; and great-grandchildren, Brendan Velbis, Joshua Velbis, Olivia Stevens, Addelaide Bailey, Michael Beasley, Matthew Hillman, and Riley Hillman.

Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Taylor.

A private funeral service was held Tuesday, May 26, from the graveside of the Ellis Cemetery in Saxis with the Rev. Hackett and Pastor Freddie Ward officiating.
