A Chincoteague man is dead and police have arrested his son on a charge of second degree murder.
The Chincoteague Police Department at 8:15 a.m. Thursday received a report that a man had been shot on School Street, according to a press release.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Thomas Lee Watson Sr., 70, dead inside the home.
Investigation by the department led to the arrest of his son, Thomas Lee Watson Jr.
He is being held in the Eastern Shore Regional Jail with bond denied.
