Mrs. Celestine Jeanette Gillespie, 63, of Bloxom, wife of Douglas Gillespie, passed away on April 26, 2020, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock.
Born on April 15, 1957, in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Philip Freese and the late Celestine Howie Freese. Celestine was a homemaker and enjoyed living life, her kids, and grandkids. She loved baking cookies for everyone.
Other than her husband, Celestine is survived by two daughters, Amanda Lynn Gillespie and Anna Marie Gillespie; six sisters, May Watson, April Anderson, Candy Marchalleck, Spring Malloy, Augustine Hinmen, and Melody Newsome; two brothers, Philip Freese Jr. and Roy Freese; two half-sisters; five grandchildren, Charles Crockett, Sarah Crockett, Elizabeth Crockett, Philip Gillespie, and Allison Gillespie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
Arrangements were made by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley.
