Mr. Robert Curtis “Bob” Prettyman died peacefully March 5, 2020. Bob was born May 21, 1953, the son of the late William S. Prettyman and the late Juanita Colonna Prettyman. He was the husband of the late Holly Prettyman.

He is survived by his stepmother, Nancy H. Prettyman, of Franktown; stepdaughter, Raven Prettyman, of Austin, Texas; two brothers, W.W. Prettyman, of Virginia Beach, and Timothy A. Prettyman, of Silver Beach; sister, Linda P. Turner and her husband, Ivan, of Silver Beach; two nephews, Ivan Turner Jr. and his wife, Ruthann, of Wilmington, Del., and William E. Prettyman and his wife, Elizabeth, of Richmond; two nieces, Vivian J. Turner and her husband, Tom, of Middletown, Del., and Courtney P. Mallon and her husband, Brent, of Chester, Va.; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Bob was a very capable contractor. It seemed he could do anything with his talented hands. He loved working in his yard and gardens. Bob was also devoted to his many pets over the years, the latest being “Puppy Girl”. They were inseparable until his recent illness.

A graveside Celebration of Life service was conducted Sunday, March 8, 2020, at Belle Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Mikang Kim and Mr. Ivan Turner officiating. Memorials may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 488, Exmore, VA 23350.
