Anglers Club to Hold Annual Banquet
The Eastern Shore of Virginia Anglers Club (www.esanglersclub.org) will hold its Annual Banquet on Saturday, March 7, at the Onancock Elks Lodge at 22454 Front St. in Accomac.

The popular event, which has had as many as 125 attendees, starts at 5:30 p.m., with a roast beef and crab cake dinner, and will include door prizes for each attendee as well as a live auction of a large and awesome array of fine art, decoys, crafts, fishing gear, and other items. Proceeds from the auction help fund the club’s youth fishing activities.

Accomack County Parks & Rec All-Star Games Schedule
Accomack County Parks and Recreation will host its all-star games against Northampton Parks and Recreation all-stars on Sunday, March 8,  2 p.m., at Arcadia High School. Donations are $5 for adults and $2 for youth. This is a fundraiser for the 20th Annual Older Americans Extravaganza and Luncheon.

The schedule is as followed: 2 p.m. Accomack vs. Northampton (ages 5-8), 3 p.m., Accomack vs. Northampton (ages 9-12), 4 p.m., Accomack vs. Northampton (ages 13-15), and 5 p.m., ACPR Heat vs. Horntown Heat (ages 5-8).

St. John’s Youth Baskbetball League Signups
St. John’s Spring Youth Basketball League is having registration every Monday in March, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., for ages 5-15. Registration cost is $10 per participant. Games will begin the first week in April.

The location of the gym is 10352 ­Atlantic Road, Atlantic.

Shore Little League Registration Dates
The Shore Little League will be holding registration for baseball and softball. Online registrations are being accepted now at www.shorelittleleague.org. Documents needed include birth certificate and proof of residency.

The registration fee is $60 per player for ages 4-16. A fee of $10 will be added to registrations after March 14. The fee is reduced to a rate of $100 if two or more children, age 4-16, are registering.

The dates for registration are as follows: Saturday, March 7, 10 a.m. to noon, and Tuesday, March 10, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Opening day will be on April 4. For more information, email [email protected].

Free Safety and Marksmanship Training for Shore Youth
The Eastern Shore Rifle Team will be holding free safety and marksmanship training starting March 21, at noon, rain or shine. The entrance to the NOAAWIVA range is 300 yards due east from T’s Corner, on the south side of Chincoteague Road.

Participants must wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and a billed cap.  Equipment, snacks, and drinks will be provided. For more information call 757-442-3013 or 757-710-0294.
