The Arcadia Firebirds remain atop the district leader boards with a win on the road in Onley Jan. 4. A loss to the Warriors would have shook up the district standings but the Firebirds kept their composure and secured the win. They’ll etch their names in history as the 2019-20 District Champions with a home win against Chincoteague next Thursday, Feb. 13.
They were led in points by Lethon Williams with 20 points, William Scarborough tallied 13, Keevan Collins had 10, Keith Grinnage and Kamron Downing contributed 7 points each.
Nandua was led Gerald Pitt with 19 points, AhkTavius Harmon added 9, and Tremere Summerville finished with 7. They’ll finish district play with a home game tonight at 7 p.m. against Northampton.
