Accomack County Central Little League Spring Sign-Ups
Accomack County Central Little League spring sign-ups for boys and girls, ages 4 to 18, is now available.  The registration fee is $65 a child, and $45 for only Tee-Ball. The deadline to register is Feb. 29. No registrations will be accepted after the deadline date.

The items needed at the time of registration include: registration fee, birth certificate, shirt size and proof of residency. If the child lives outside of but attends school in Accomack County, a school enrollment form must be filled out.

Accomack County Parks and Recreation Youth Basketball Game Schedules
Accomack Parks and Recreation Department Youth Basketball games will be held at Arcadia High School, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, beginning at 9 a.m. Donation is $1 for adults. For Feb. 1, the game schedules is: 9 a.m., Knights vs. Horntown Heat (ages 5-8), 10 a.m., Celtics 1 vs. Heat (ages 5-8), Wizards 1 vs. Hornets (ages 5-8), noon, Cavaliers vs. Wizards 2 (ages 9-12), 1 p.m., 13-15 (practice), 2 p.m., Chincoteague vs. Wizards (ages 9-12), and 3 p.m., Chincoteague vs. Accomack (13-15).

The game for Feb. 3, 2020, will be held at Nandua Middle School. The Celtics will play against the Knights (ages 9-12) at 6:15 p.m.

Anglers Club Hosts Fish Cookery Talk
The Eastern Shore of Virginia Anglers Club (www.esanglersclub.org) will hold its monthly meeting on Febr. 10 in the conference room of the Sage Restaurant in Onley. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature a presentation on fish cooking lead by Don McGavock of Parksley.

A former restauranteur, McGavock will present a cooking demonstration of locally caught fish species, with a small-bite sampling. He will be assisted by several other club members in talking about how they prepare local species. Printed recipes will be available.

The public is invited to attend, and new or prospective members are welcome.

Free Safety and Marksmanship Training for Shore Youth
The Eastern Shore Rifle Team will be holding free safety and marksmanship training starting March 21, at noon, rain or shine. The entrance to the NOAAWIVA range is 300 yards due east from T’s Corner, on the south side of Chincoteague Road.

Participants must wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and a billed cap.  Equipment,snacks, and drinks will be provided. For more information call 757-442-3013 or 757-710-0294.
