Anglers Club Hosts Meeting with Eastern Shore Lab Director
The Eastern Shore of Virginia Anglers Club (www.esanglersclub.org) will hold its monthly meeting on January 13 in the conference room of the Sage Restaurant in Onley. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature a presentation by Dr. Richard Snyder of VIMS.
The Director of VIMS’ Eastern Shore Lab at Wachapreague, and a broadly trained ecologist, Snyder will talk about the activities underway at the Lab, including a current fish research project of interest to anglers. The public is invited to attend, and new or prospective members are welcome.
Accomack County Parks and Rec Youth Basketball League Registration
The Accomack County Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registration for Youth Basketball League. On-site registration will be held at the Arcadia High School on Saturday, January 11, 2020, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. January 11 is the last day to register.
The practice schedule for Saturday, January 11 at Arcadia High School is: ages 5-8, 9 a.m. to 10:15 p.m., ACPR Wizards and ACPR Celtics 1, 10:15 to 11:30 a.m., ACPR Hornets and ACPR Heat, 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., ACPR Knights and ACPR Lakers.Ages nine to 12, 12:45 to 2 p.m., ACPR Knights and ACPR Celtics 2, 2 to 3:15 p.m., ACPR Lakers and ACPR Cavaliers. Ages 13-15 is from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m.
