Mrs. Bess Custis Savage, 71, wife of William K. Savage and a resident of Quinby, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019. A native of Exmore, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas Custis and the late Louellen Ashby Custis. She was a graduate of Goldey–Beacom College and North Carolina Wesleyan College, a teacher for Northampton County Public Schools, bookkeeper for Heritage Hall Healthcare, and a full-time mother and homemaker.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a son, Trevor C. Savage and his companion, Sarah, of Cambridge, Mass.; and numerous nieces and nephews, two of whom she was especially fond of, Natalie and Carolyn.
A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. at Belle Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Mikang Kim officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Food Bank of the Eastern Shore, PO Box 518, Onley, VA 23418.
