The Northampton Lady Jackets hosted the Firebirds Dec. 10 on Hall of Fame night in Eastville. The Jackets’ proved too much for the overwhelmed Firebirds with the strong front court play of Jada Giddens. Giddens drove at the Firebirds all night and finished strong on fast breaks fed by Maeyanna Delk and Brianna Bochman. The Jackets experience and team chemistry was on display as they blew by defenders and looked to pass.
Giddens led all scorers with 23 points, followed by Delk with 12, and Bochman with 8. The Jackets will be back in action tonight, Dec. 13, on Chincoteague for a 5:30 district title rematch. Arcadia will be in back in action Dec. 17 at home against Chincoteague after the Warriors’ Dec. 12 matchup against Nandua in Onley.
