Mr. Eli Emory Yoder, 85, of Sanford, husband of Minnie Godwin Yoder, passed away July 12, 2019, at his residence.
Born Jan. 15, 1934, in Westover, Md., he was the son of the late John Bennett Yoder and the late Lena Huffman Yoder. Mr. Yoder worked at Tyson and was a member of the Holly Grove Mennonite Church. He loved hunting, animals, puzzles, and the relationships he had with friends.
Other than his wife, survivors include special daughter, Robin Ford, of Parksley; a brother, Crist Yoder; a sister, Grace Hann; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Eli Yoder; and eight siblings, Paul, David, George, Charlie, and Roy Yoder, Rebecca Weaver, Esther Martin and Fredia Good.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley with the Rev. William Jefferson officiating. Interment followed in the Downing’s Cemetery in Oak Hall.
