By Linda Cicoira — Accomack Commissioner of the Revenue Deborah T. Midgett, of Parksley, announced Tuesday that she will seek re-election to her post in the November general election.

For “36 years, I have worked in the office of the commissioner of the revenue and have enjoyed meeting people and helping them,” Midgett said. “In 2008, I completed my classes to become Master Chief Deputy. In November 2018, in a special election, I became the commissioner. This year, I am seeking a four-year term. Your vote will be greatly appreciated,” she added.

Midgett first took over as interim commissioner after the death of Commissioner Leslie Savage.
