Mr. John Henry Alvin “JJ” Huttner Jr., 44, of Parksley, passed away April 14, 2019, at his residence.
Born May 27, 1974, in Nassawadox, he was the son of Judy Huttner and the late John Henry Huttner Sr.
When JJ was a pre-teen, he was diag- nosed with diabetes. This condition se- verely affected his life, although he did not permit it to limit him. JJ had a pas- sion for the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fishermen, enjoying both fresh and saltwater fishing, and was a member of the Eastern Shore of Virginia Anglers Club. He was also a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Of the various jobs he held, everyone knew he loved working on the water best. Many evenings, JJ could be found at one of the local restaurants, particularly the Club Car Cafe, which had become his recent favorite.
JJ had many personal struggles, but at certain times throughout his life he found comfort in the Christian faith.
Other than his mother, survivors include two daughters, Taylor Huttner, of Parksley, and Rylee Huttner, of Bloxom; two stepsons, Max and Jacen Horne, of Bloxom; sister, Patty Garner and husband, Larry, of Parksley; sister, Kim Satterwhite and husband, Bruce, of Bloxom; stepsister, Kristie Annis and husband, Steve, of Parksley; half-sister, Heather Huttner; his wife, Robin Huttner; and five nieces and nephews, Spencer and Ethan Annis, and Darrien, Kaitlyn and Austin Taylor. He was predeceased by his stepbrother, William “W.L.” Parks.
JJ was deeply loved by so many, more than he understood. His passing has left heavy hearts and unanswered questions, but many fond memories too, in the hearts of those who loved him so dearly.
Funeral services will be private.
Arrangements were made by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley.
