Mrs. Mary Ruth Hall Hart, 74, wife of the late Richard Melvin Hart, of Tasley, passed away April 6, 2019, at her residence.
Born July 9, 1944, in Girdletree, Md., she was the daughter of the late William B. Hall Sr. and the late Virginia Johnson Hall. Mrs. Hart was retired from the R&G Shirt Factory, where she worked for over 20 years.
Mrs. Hart is survived by two daughters, Bonnie J. Hart-Cropper, of Parksley, and Theresa Hart McHan, of Exmore; three grandchildren, Walter R. McHan Jr., of Eastville, Terry L. Cropper Jr. and wife, Aulbrey, of Three Rivers, Mich., and Trent L. Cropper and wife, Sheena, of Parksley; five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Gabriel, Jace and Keyson Cropper, and Hayden McHan; and several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Hall; a sister, Carrie “Betty” Fisher; and a grandson, Anthony McHan.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019, at 2 p.m., from the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley with Pastor Terry Cropper officiating. Interment will follow in the Parksley Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley.
