Dr. C. Parke Scarborough III, 77, of Manakin, Va., and Man-O-War Cay, Bahamas, died at Bon Secours Hospice House on Oct. 14, 2018.
Born in Baltimore, Md., on April 22, 1941, he was preceded in death by his parents Dr. C. Parke Scarborough Jr. and Adda Noerr Scarborough.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marianne B. Scarborough. He is also survived by three children, Rebecca S. Bresee, Christian S. Parks, and Neill C. Bradley, as well as seven grandchildren.
Dr. Scarborough graduated from St. Christopher’s School, the University of Virginia, and the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He was a member of the Gamma Phi Delta Prosthetic Society and was an adjunct professor of Head and Neck Anatomy at Old Dominion University. His dental practice was on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Richmond, Va., on Oct. 22, 2018, at 10 a.m., with committal to follow at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Mary, Mother of the Church Abbey in Goochland, Va.
