Nelsonia Fire Leaves 2 Adults and a Child Dead – UPDATE

By Linda Cicoira — Two adults and a child died Friday morning in a mobile home fire in Nelsonia, said Corinne Gellner of the state police. The remains were taken to the Norfolk medical examiner for autopsy and positive identification.

Special agents with the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, in Chesapeake, are working to determine the cause and origin of the blaze. The residence was destroyed. “The fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature,” Gellner said.
The incident was reported to the Eastern Shore 9-1-1 Center at 10 a.m. Firefighters from Bloxom, Parksley, Atlantic, Tasley, New Church, and Onancock responded. 10 a.m. along with Bloxom rescue and the  Accomack County Sheriff’s Office.
