Ms. Marcella Jean Wilson, 70, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 7 with family by her side.
She was born Oct. 25, 2948, in Ellwood City, Pa., to Raymond H. Wilson and Alleis Conner Wilson, who preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by a sister, Rachel Wilson Zepp.
She is survived by siblings, Ralph D. Wilson and Nan Wilson Beachem; children, Daniel M. Nocera and Lettie K. Nocera; grandchildren, Benjamin E. Warner, Miles H. Warner, and Charles A. Warner; and many nieces and nephews.
Ms. Wilson graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Chatham University and a master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University. She enjoyed a career in municipal finance in Pittsburgh, Pa., Washington, D.C., and Alexandria City and Arlington County, Va.
She retired in 2013 and moved to Cape Charles where she opened and operated Cape Charles Confectionery.
Ms. Wilson was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and volunteered with the Cape Charles Food Pantry. She loved gardening, opera, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and spoiling her grandsons.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 19 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 601 Tazewell Ave., Cape Charles.
