Mr. Robert “Glynn” Savage, 65, husband of Genalyn N. Savage and a resident of Accomac, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, with his loved ones by his side. Born Feb. 16, 1953, in Nassawadox, he was the son of the late John Robert “Bob” Savage and Ina Pruitt Brown and husband, Donald Onley “Don” Brown.

A lifelong commercial waterman, Mr. Savage was ever the fearless adventurer, often fishing solo whether he was in his native bayside and seaside waters or the Frying Pan Shoals, of Cape Fear, N.C. Though being on the water was his greatest passion, nothing was more important to Mr. Savage than his family. He loved the Lord and was raised in the New Testament Church in Deep Creek. He will be greatly missed; however, his life will be forever celebrated through the many precious memories he shared with those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his loving wife of 13 years, he is survived by five children, Cory Glynn Savage and wife, Jackie, of Greenbackville, Christopher Robert Savage, of Point Pleasant Beach, N.J., April Caison and husband, Chris, of Capeville, Rachel Dawn Savage, of Exmore, and Kristina Nicole Savage, of Accomac; sisters, Claudia S. Webb and husband, Tommy, of Jamesville, and Cynthia S. Bradford and husband, Bill, of Exmore; grandchildren, Everett and Martin Savage, Mariana Donohue, Carson Savage, and Dylan, Emma Grace, and Caroline Caison; as well as his wife’s family in the Philippines and countless friends. Other than his parents and stepfather, he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Charlie Wes Pruitt and Beulah Evans Pruitt; paternal grandparents, John Robert Savage and Lillian Mears Savage; and numerous cousins.

A memorial service was held Jan. 5, 2019, at the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles W. Parks III officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.org), or to Lighthouse Ministries, P.O. Box 54, Keller, VA 23401.
