Mr. Gerald Anthony Goga, 53, husband of Laura Mears Goga and a resident of Melfa, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital.
A native of Hacks Neck, he was the son of June Parker Collins and her husband, Bill, of Melfa, and the late William Frank Goga. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Goga was a lieutenant criminal investigator for the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Goga is survived by four children, Jennifer Goga, of Chesterfield, Va., Brandon Patterson, Kyle Patterson and Ryan Manning, all of Melfa; one sister, Pamela G. Clayton and her husband, Todd, of Onancock; and one granddaughter, Rilynn Elizabeth Goga, of Chesterfield.
A Celebration of Life service was conducted Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at Nandua High School with the Rev. Glenda Turlington officiating. Memorials may be made to Riverside Shore Hospice P.O. Box 615 Onley, VA 23418.
