Ms. Sharlene C. East, 71, of Mears, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 15, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Atltantic on May 4, 1947, to the late Louis and Agnes Thomas Coulbourne. She was a member of Atlantic Baptist Church.
Ms. East is survived by her fiancé, Jack Gladding, of Mears; a daughter, Cristy Clark and her husband, Nathan, of Chincoteague Island; grandson, Matthew Clark and his girlfriend, Kelly Harris, of Newport News, Va.; granddaughter, Taylor Clark and her boyfriend, Austin Bagwell, of Chincoteague Island; stepson, Duane Gladding and his wife, Jessica, of Chincoteague Island; two brothers, Tommy Coulbourne and his wife, Ellen, of Greenbackville, and David Coulbourne and his wife, Sheila, of Atlantic; two sisters, Bonnie Coulbourne, of Fort Mill, S.C., and Sheila Coulbourne and her husband, Donnie Williams, of New Church; friend, Tykia Harmon, of Mears; four-legged best friend, Oliver; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, at the Salyer Funeral Home Inc., Chincoteague, with the Rev. Maurice Enright officiating.
