Mr. Martin George Johnson, 84, husband of the late Audrey Jeanne Johnson and a resident of Bloxom, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock.
Born Nov. 21, 1933, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Martin and Rachel Johnson. Mr. Johnson served his country in the U.S. Navy and later retired as a sergeant from the Shaker Heights Police Department in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Following retirement, the Johnsons moved to the Eastern Shore where Mr. Johnson enjoyed fishing, hunting, archery, and photography.

Survivors include his five children: Martin; Diana and husband, Dave, and their daughter, Angela; Erica and husband, Wayne; Kurt and wife, Wendy, and their sons, James and Branden; and Debby and husband, Troy, and their children, Dillon, Jasmine, and Dereck.
Services will be conducted from the graveside at the Willoughby Cemetery, in Ohio, on Monday, Oct. 1, 2018.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Bloxom Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 132, Bloxom, VA 23308, in recognition of their gratitude for the unwavering support and care shown to their father.
