Mrs. Blanche Mildred “Snookie” Bennett

Mrs. Blanche Mildred “Snookie” Bennett, 71, beloved wife of Herbert Adam Bennett and a resident of Tasley, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Born March 24, 1947, in Washington, District of Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Edward Maxwell and Mary Ellen Beach Maxwell. Mrs. Bennett enjoyed watching QVC and always kept up with the latest magazine tabloids. Over the years, she kept her mind sharp by playing games on her tablet and working on crossword puzzles. Her world revolved around her family, and she was happiest when spending time with them.

In addition to her husband, survivors include five children, Norma Jean Sicard and husband, Norm, of Seaford, Del., Patty Hinman and husband, Eddie, Beverly Bennett and husband, Chris, all of Bloxom, Tammy Bennett and husband, Bill, of Pocomoke, Md., and Jennifer Bennett, of Tasley; sister, Joan Parks, of Accokeek, Md.; eleven grandchildren, Adam, Chris, Branden, Chyna, Fredrick Jr., Gage, Amber, Solomon, Raven, Natalia, and Tucker; two great-granddaughters, Raelynn and Madison; and several nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Lynn Bennett; sister, Gloria Robertson; brothers, George and James Padgett, and Leroy Maxwell; grandson, Travis; and greatgranddaughter, Emily Rae.

Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on July 26, 2018, with the Rev. Morris Bennett officiating. Interment followed in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
