Mr. Raymond Lenon Britton III, 54, of Chincoteague Island, passed away on July 28, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Salisbury, Md., on Aug. 8, 1963, to Raymond Lenon Britton Jr. and Carolyn (Beebe) Reed. He was a member of Island Baptist Church.
Mr. Britton is survived by his son, Luke Travis Britton and his wife, Rachel, of Chincoteague; grandson, Wes Raymond Britton, of Chincoteague; father, Raymond Lenon Britton Jr. and his friend, Angie Lambertson, of Chincoteague; mother, Carolyn Mae Reed and her husband, William P. Reed Sr., of Chincoteague; three brothers, David Todd Britton and his wife, Ruth Ann, Matthew Troy Reed and his wife, Ileta, William P. Reed Jr. and his wife, Lisa, all of Chincoteague; grandmother, Ethel Virginia Britton, of Chincoteague; two uncles, Donald “Butch” Britton and his wife, Barbara, of Wilmington, N.C., and Gary Dow Britton and his wife, Sue, of Dallas, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, the Rev. Raymond Lenon Britton Sr.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 2, 2018, at the Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague, with the Rev. Kevin Eley officiating. Burial took place in the Daisey Cemetery on Church Street, Chincoteague.
