Mr. Ellis Edward Blake, 76, husband of the late Susan Gee Williams Blake and a resident of Melfa, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at his home.
Born Feb. 8, 1942, in Donegal Township, Washington County, Pa., he was the son of the late Ellis Cracroft Blake and Ethel Virginia Conner Blake. Mr. Blake was a retired auto mechanic, whose love for cars led him to drag and stock car racing. As an avid outdoorsman, he spent much of his free time hunting and fishing, hobbies he sustained throughout his life.
Survivors include his children, Jody Hughes and husband, Kurt, of Holbrook, Pa.; Lawrence “Buddy” Nalls Jr., of Melfa, and Deborah Clayton and husband, Raymond, of Princess Anne, Md.; and many extended family members, including his sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
To honor his wishes, a public service will not be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Blake’s memory to Riverside Shore Hospice, P.O. Box 615, Onley, VA 23418.
