Mrs. Nellie Louise “Sissy” -Taylor, 73, of Chincoteague Island, passed away on March 8, 2018, at her residence.
She was born on Chincoteague on Jan. 14, 1945, to the late Howard and Margaret Williams Bloxom. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, daughter of Ruth Sunday School, and Accomack Chapter #162 Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her loving spouse of 53 years, Kenny Taylor, of Chincoteague; two sons, Tony Taylor and his wife, Sandy, of Atlantic, and Edwin Taylor and his wife, Robin, of New Church; three grandsons, Kyle Taylor, of Williamsburg, Austin Taylor, of Atlantic, and Hunter Taylor, of New Church; two brothers, Donald Bloxom and his wife, Martha, of Obion, Tenn., and Paul Bloxom Sr. and his girlfriend, Diane Wolfe, of Chincoteague; sister, Isabel Gibby, of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Howard, Harvey and Wesley Bloxom.
Funeral services were held on March 11, 2018, at the Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague, with Rev. Kevin Eley, officiating. Burial took place in the John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Temperanceville.
