William R. Waller

Mr. William R. Waller, 70, passed away on July 8, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his daughters. He was the husband of Nancy Pender Waller, and they shared 50 years of marriage together.

Born in Nassawadox, he was a son of the late Hilton G. Waller and Gertrude C. Waller. He attended Central High School and graduated from Cox High School. He retired from Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control, where he worked over 35 years.

Mr. Waller, “Wisky Ricky” was born and raised on the Eastern Shore and loved all the things that made the Eastern Shore a wonderful place to live. He loved people and loved telling stories.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy P. Waller, of Onley; his two daughters, Amy W. Hartman, and her husband James P. Hartman, of Accomac, and Martha G. Waller of Salisbury, Md.; grandchildren, Kristen and Anna Hartman; brother, Roland T. Waller and his wife, Kathy, of Brunswick, Ga.; niece, Amanda Owens and her spouse, Daniel, of Darien, Ga.; nephew, Jacob Waller, of Mo.; and great-niece, Kinsley Owens, of Darien.

The funeral service was held at Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on July 11, 2018, with interment following at the Wachapreague Cemetery.
